While previous leaks have already revealed much about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, new information is now shedding light on some additional specifications—particularly regarding design and display features.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, whose overall concept has been fairly well established, is expected to continue the trend of premium specs with a slimmer form factor and larger screens. According to a new leak from Setsuna Digital on Weibo, the Fold 7 will include the Snapdragon 8 Elite “for Galaxy” processor. The device is reported to be exceptionally slim—measuring just 4.2mm when open and 8.9mm folded—putting it in competition with some of the slimmest foldables available. Its weight is said to be around 215 grams. Display-wise, the outer screen will reportedly measure 6.5 inches, while the internal foldable panel will be 8 inches.
Camera specs mentioned in the leak suggest a 10MP front-facing sensor with a 100-degree field of view. It remains uncertain whether this refers to the outer or inner camera, but it’s likely the internal one, as Samsung has apparently moved away from under-display selfie cameras.
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the leak reveals even more updates. The Flip 7 is said to feature a thinner profile than anticipated—13.7mm when closed and 6.5mm when open—compared to the Flip 6’s 14.9mm when shut. Despite the thinner build, the device will weigh slightly more at 188 grams, up from 187 grams. The outer display is expected to be 4.1 inches, marginally larger than that of the Motorola Razr, while the inner screen will increase to 6.9 inches from the previous 6.7. Both screens are rumored to reach peak brightness levels of 2,600 nits. The battery capacity will also see a boost to 4,300 mAh, up from the 4,000 mAh in the previous model.
While some details remain unconfirmed, both foldable devices are shaping up to be compelling upgrades. Samsung is scheduled to officially unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 on July 9.
